Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Hereditary ATTR Amyloidosis in February and started receiving patisiran a month ago. After an appointment at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, I was given some leaflets about appropriate socks and shoes the I could wear so I could be more comfortable when walking.

I would appreciate any advice on affordable and comfortable shoes/website that you may have used and you would recommend.

All the best,

Stav

Hi Stav

I have had some issues with feet/legs swelling.  Ten years ago I tried a pair of Crocs.  I cant remember the last time a wore a pair of ordinary shoes.  The Crocs are indestructible, comfortable ( I have peripheral neuropathy and tender feet) allow for a bit of swelling without rubbing and I don't have to bend to put them on.  The only downside is I have to wear them with socks or my feet really honk!

What leaflets did you get - I have had trouble finding socks I like?
