Healing time for biopsy
« on: January 21, 2021, 02:05:18 am »
I had an abdominal fat pad biopsy a month ago. A small lump remains under the skin, and it’s still hurting – not all the time, but when I stretch or exercise. I just wanted to check that it’s normal for this to take a while to heal.

Professor Gillmore says that this does not usually occur. It might be worth a visit to GP to make sure no infection. Probably a haematoma which should gradually resolve.

I'll see my GP, but I'm curious, how will he know if there's an infection?

He can do a physical examination and then decide if there's a need for further investigation
