Neuropathic pain - electric shocks

I have had neuropathic pain for a year now; hyper sensitive skin mainly which is being treated with 75mg of Pregabalin twice per day. Recently I have been getting electric shocks which started in the legs but have now moved to the upper body. Whilst most are mild, others are quite severe making me yelp. I am very worried that this may get worse and the shocks become unbearable. Does anyone have similar symptoms and maybe advise on what the future prognosis might be and possible treatments? Would an increase in the Pregabalin dose help?

Hi Erdles, I too suffer with Amyloid related neuropathy. I get electric shocks in the lower legs and feet that are sometimes excruciating. There is an online group for neuropathy that you might find helpful, it’s called ‘Stuff that Works’ , I don’t take any medication specifically for the neuropathy but the members on that site have lots of advice.
