Fundraising links
« on: February 09, 2015, 10:19:48 am »
Good to see lots of activity on the forum.
How about also adding a link for donations to the NAC MRI Cycle Challenge. This is doing really well and John, Thirusha, David and all their assistants deserve a huge THANK YOU for their efforts, as do you Miriam for running this forum.
Thank you all.

I think the forum is an excellent location for highlighting the live fundraisers for the UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund. I will post below, links to the active fundraising ventures underway at the moment that I know about. If anyone knows of others, I hope they will post those links too. All sufferers are indebted to fundraisers for the time, commitment and effort that goes into their ventures for the ARF. I know how much the NAC appreciates the charity work of so many. It enables them to provide extra resources, both human and otherwise to support both their clinical work and research.

See how your money is spent here:

Professor Sir Mark Pepys expressed his thanks for the charity work of fundraisers in issue 2 of the NAC newsletter. Read about it here:

Chloe Bullock's bespoke poems in aid of the Amyloidosis Research Fund:
Chloe also has a Facebook page where you can read samples of her fundraising poems. It also gives details of how to commission a special occasion poem for the Amyloidosis Research Fund. Type "bespoke poems into amyloidosis" into the Facebook search bar and it will take you to the page.

Thanks George for suggesting the fundraising links, and thanks Pat for posting them.
I've made this into a new topic, distinct from the forum suggestions and feedback discussion where you first posted.
