My father has been diagnosed with gastric amyloidosis. He had upper gastric discomfort (Early satiety, nausea n vomit, constipation with weight loss) and feeling tired exhausted without energy .
Endoscopy results showed chronic gastritis, biopsy results showed amyloid deposits.
His bone marrow has 6% plasma cells.. There are no other organs involved, fat pad negative, rectum biopsy suggestive of amyloidosis.
Kappa and lamda ratio 0.16 , with lamda slightly elevated than normal reference.

Dr have started  systemic treatment.

His earlier symptoms remains the same after 2 cycles of chemo and feeling exhausted.
We are blank, how long will it take? Any similar experiences. Are we doing right thing can people in forum help out.

Hi Kalpana,
Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about your father's illness. You can ask his doctors to consult the NAC doctors about his case. Their contact information is available here: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/amyloidosis/national-amyloidosis-centre
Since he has AL amyloidosis, it might be best to consult Professor Wechalekar, the haematologist.
